LUNDIN PETROLEUM SCHOLARSHIP |
Lundin Petroleum AB together with the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee (United Kingdom), as part of the activities of the partnering agreement signed for the Academic Year 2008-2009, are offering a fully funded postgraduate scholarship leading to any of the following degrees:
Master of Laws (LLM) in Petroleum Law and Policy,
MSc in International Oil and Gas Management, or
The award will offer the successful candidate:

Payment of academic tuition fees

12 monthly stipends for living expenses for a single student

An arrival allowance and thesis/assignment allowance
Applicants eligible for consideration should:

Already hold a degree of an equivalent standard to at least a good UK second class honours degree
Display intellectual ability and leadership potential

Be able to demonstrate a high level of English language competence (generally IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 603 [250 on the computer based test])

Be between the ages of 25-35 years, having had some post-degree work experience in petroleum and energy in the government, regulatory agencies, private sector, or academia

Be nationals and residents of the following countries:
Ethiopia, Cambodia, Congo-Brazzaville, Indonesia, Kenya and Russia, Sudan and Vietnam -
Complete the degree within 12 months and return to their home country at the end of their period of study.
Method of Scholarship Selection
Please note that there is no separate application form for the Lundin Scholarship.
All candidates who are offered unconditional admission to the above mentioned degrees and who satisfy the criteria for consideration for the Scholarship, will be put forward for review by the relevant Committee composed of Lundin Petroleum and CEPMLP staff.
The first step, therefore, is to complete an application form for admission to the above mentioned degrees. The online application form can be found by clicking on the relevant degree as shown above. In addition to the online application, candidates should submit to me (Kathleen Shortt: k.a.shortt@dundee.ac.uk ) a brief statement, max. 250 words, explaining why you think you should be considered for the scholarship.
All applications must be received by the 31 May 2008.
