Our programmes are designed to develop self confidence and the ability to present efficient, logical answers to complex problems; to give students methodological and problem solving skills designed to assist decision making in business situations. Furthermore, the programmes will facilitate discussion, debate, and analysis of business issues and problems within an international environment and develop transferable skills particularly in working with groups as well as in presentation and communication skills.

Programme areas:

Risk Management
The International Petroleum Business Context
Leadership in Oil and Gas Business
Negotiation and Communication
Energy Security
Oil and Gas Strategy
Energy Infrastructure Management - emphasis on developing countries
International Business Transactions
All of these areas are available in module format.

Programme Routes:

Any module can be taken as a stand alone CPD event. Participants seeking accreditation can do so on a module basis or can combine modules for the following awards:

Delivery philosophy:

Inter-disciplinary delivery is at the heart of the delivery philosophy, utilising case studies and computer based simulations. In all cases module content will be heavily contextualised within the energy industries. Each module will be team-taught, using outstanding global faculty members together with CEPMLP staff. Each module will normally be delivered in two concentrated time periods of around 4 days with a gap of approximately two months between learning events. This approach will enhance the learning through reflection, application and critical evaluation of module content.

Where participants seek accreditation for modules or where they are enrolled on the Executive Masters Programme, assessment will be used to facilitate the students learning through application to the work place. An exclusive VLE will be implemented to support the programme, encourage networking and providing an administrative support system. All elements of the modules in terms of content and delivery, can be adapted to client needs.
