CEPMLP Information Service Staff

I joined CEPMLP in April 97 having worked for several years in the oil industry in Aberdeen. In the early nineties I was employed by BP, and later I worked with Marathon Oil. In both posts I was involved in information management.
It was evident when I first joined the Centre that improvements were required in the Information Service. I am happy to report that a significant number of positive changes have resulted in a more efficient and effective service. We continue with programme of development with our aim of becoming one of the best information providers in the Centre's spheres of interest.
In addition to supervising the day to day running of the service, my main responsibilities include managing, promoting and developing the following:

all aspects of our internal and external service

our Internet Services, including our discussion forum Enatres

our publications, CDs etc

Having started work with the Centre as a Student Assistant on a course placement from Dundee College in September 1999 and then progressing to part-time employment as Information Assistant, I have now been working full-time in the Information Service since August 2001. I mainly assist with student enquiries, data entry, administration and the processing of invoices.
